Spread Sunshine!

This card went to a sweet, deserving friend of mine! She's pregnant with a toddler at home, and deserves a nice break!

I used my new Texture Boutique and some Core'dinations cardstock for the yellow sunshine. I couldn't figure out what accent colors I wanted for the LIFE of me! I settled on red because it was a bright, happy color!

I also decided to put small coffee beans on my envelops for RAK. They are adorable!

Welcome Back, RAK!

Inspired by Stacy and her RAK Birthday Project I pulled out the last few Starbucks cards and got them ready to send away!

I love this card. I used an ultra-fine silver embossing powder on the words and it makes ALL the difference! Words look so much better with the ultra-fine powder, IMO. I used my espresso cup and added "whipped cream" (ie, liquid applique pen!) and a few pearls to highlight the elegant simplicity!

The back is simply the gift card holder and a small fork bow!

More Coffee!!

I have a ton of friends that are completely ROCKING IT on Weight Watchers! I wanted to show them that WW shouldn't stop them from having treats now and then! I went through the guidebook and picked a few things that are 0-2 pts and included them in the cards I sent this week.

The front of the card was done using the new Cricut "Just Because" cartridge. I am in the habit of making four of the "same" cards, but making them different sizes, shapes and backgrounds. That's what I did with these as well!

Inside the card, I used my coffee stamps and liquid applique pen (whipped cream!) to decorate. I wrote out the names and sizes of the drinks in that pt category with my Signo white pen (best white pen *EVER!*)

A good friend helped me with the awesome sentiment, "You deserve a "latte" more than this for all of your hard work!"

RAK #3

This card went to a hard-working friend I have from *middle school*.  She's a dear friend to me and she works herself to death, so I thought she could use a break. 

The orange circle is a purchased card.  I cut the soda from the Doodlecharms cartridge on my Cricut. The foam on top is my favorite -- it's a liquid applique pen!!  You just layer it on and use a heat tool (normally used for embossing) to puff it up! It turns out cute as marshmallows, snow and whipped cream.

Imagine the teal paper is actually a gift card.

RAK #2

This card went to an amazing military mom of three whose hubby is currently deployed.

If *anyone* on this planet deserves a day out, it's her. I wish I could have done more for her!!!

RAK #1

2010 hasn't had the best beginning for lots of people that I know. So somewhere in the middle of last month, I decided I wanted to give people something little to smile about. So I picked up a small stash of gift cards. This round of RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) cards contained a gift card for Starbucks.

I picked up the most adorable stamp set with all of the "coffee" themed stamps. These are my first two cards. I'll try to post these as soon as the recipients receive them. I wouldn't want to ruin anyone's surprise :-)

I used Bo Bunny paper on this card. 

The second card was a scalloped rectangle that I bought and folded in half. The coffee cup and phrase are from my stamp set. The "whipped cream" on my coffee is from a Snow Pen. This can also be done with Liquid Applique (which I found out on Saturday night!)

  Hopefully I'll be posting LOTS more of these in the near future!!
